Combining Remote Sensing and Species Distribution Modelling to Assess Pinus hartwegii Response to Climate Change and Land Use from Izta-Popo National Park, Mexico

چکیده
A detailed analysis of distribution shifts in Pinus hartwegii Lindl. is provided across time for Izta-Popo National Park (México). Combining satellite images, species models, and connectivity we disentangled the effect climate change anthropogenic land use on habitat availability. Twenty-four Maxent suitability models with varying complexity were combined insights vegetation cover derived from two Landsat images at 30-m resolution 1993 2013. To evaluate effects Izta-Popo’s P. forest, projections future climatic conditions (averaged 2050 2070) using General Circulation Models under three Representative CO2 concentration pathways (RCPs). Calculated fragmentation indexes (Equivalent Connected Area Probability Connectivity metrics) showed significant loss that weakens dispersion flux strength connections. Projections a reduction as populations would have to migrate higher altitudes. However, impact documented over 20 years masks predicted Park.

Land cover land use mapping and change detection analysis using geographic information system and remote sensing
Land cover/land use categories are relevant components in land management. Understanding how land cover/land use change over time is necessary to assess the consequences of humans and natural stressors on the earth’s environment and resources. The aim of the study was to map and monitor the spatial and temporal change in land cover/land use for the periods of 1977, 1991 and 2016 and to predict ...
متن کاملFrom Land Cover to Land Use: A Methodology to Assess Land Use from Remote Sensing Data
The “land use” concept has evolved during recent decades and it is now considered as the socioeconomic function of land. Land use representation and land use change assessment through remote sensing still remains one of the major challenges for the remote sensing scientific community. In this paper we present a methodological approach based on remote sensing techniques to assess land use in acc...

This study analyzes the characteristics of land use/land cover change in Jordan’s Irbid governorate, 1984–2018, and predicts future land use/land cover for 2030 and 2050 using a cellular automata-Markov model. The results inform planners and decision makers of past and current spatial dynamics of land use/land cover change and predicted urban expansion, for a better understanding and successful...
متن کاملCombining of Magnitude and Direction of Change Indices to Unsupervised Change Detection in Multitemporal Multispectral Remote Sensing Images
In remote sensing, image-based change detection techniques, analyze two images acquired over the same area at different times t1 and t2 to identify the changes occurred on the Earth's surface. Change detection approaches are mainly categorized as supervised and unsupervised. Generating the change index is a key step for change detection in multi-temporal remote sensing images. Unsupervised chan...
